What to tell us

To quote you accurately in one message rather than three, include:

We will come back with the total cost and a realistic timeline. If your record looks like it needs the slower archive route, or if you are starting too early against a certificate-freshness rule, we say so before you pay — not after.

Sending us documents

Once we have confirmed what your case needs, you will email or courier us a certified copy of your ID or passport and any existing certificates or reference numbers that help locate the record. We will give you the delivery address and a checklist so everything arrives right the first time.

Do not send original identity documents. Certified copies are what the applications require.

Before you get in touch

Two things worth knowing, so nobody wastes anybody's time:

We are a private document service, not the government. Certificates are issued only by the Department of Home Affairs; we cannot change what a record contains, and we cannot make the department go faster. What we do is get the application right before it is lodged, keep it moving, and collect it the day it is ready.

You are also entitled to apply directly to Home Affairs yourself at no service cost. People use us to avoid the queueing and follow-up, and because applying for the wrong version of a certificate costs weeks. That is a fair trade for some people and not for others, and you should choose with that in front of you.
